New England fishing

season: april-november

The inshore waters off the coast of New England begin to fill with migratory striped bass in early spring as they swim north searching for their summer feeding grounds.  Early summer they begin to stack on the deeper reefs. Then in the fall the huge schools begin their southward migration, gorging themselves on the shoals of baitfish as they go. Fall is when the hardtails, false albacore and bonito, also show up in schools racing around chasing small bait. Other species available throughout the year include squeteague(weakfish), yellowfin and bluefin tuna.  Our outfitters have a variety of boats in their fleet to match the waters where the fish are at any given time, whether it's the secluded back bays and flats, or offshore in the deeper open water.  Whether you choose to use fly or spinning tackle, and no matter what your experience level is, you're bound to have a blast chasing migrating fish off the historic coast.
